Looks like Nintendo is serious about increasing the level of interactivity between the Wii and DS as compared against the GameCube-GBA combo. Inside information shows that the DS will be used as a controller for Pokemon Revolution Battle for the Wii, enabling gamers to choose actions and view various statistics whilst there is an ongoing battle on-screen.
It remains to be seen as to whether the DS is the primary controller, or will it complement the Wii-mote? If using a DS is compulsory, this will definitely drive hardware sales although it will leave a bad taste in the mouth for neutrals.
Expect to see Pokemon Battle Revolution to be launched in Japan around the same time as the Wii, while those living in North America will have to wait until 2007 (as usual).
