Koei, a rich source of epic strategy/action games, has announced that the well-admired tactical action Dynasty Warriors DS: Fighter’s Battle title for the Nintendo DS handheld gaming system, will hit the store shelves in North America this July. The players are supposed to reunite a divided nation in the game.
The latest installment in the Dynasty Warriors series has spanned numerous consoles over the years and has remained a great hit constantly in Japan.
In Dynasty Warriors DS: Fighter’s Battle, the game is set in ancient china and players will take the role of one of three newly designed characters, each with its own special features: the Phoenix (balance), the Dragon (speed), and the Chimera (power). Players have a flexibility to select up to seven of the original Dynasty Warriors to defend their bases, using a “Battle Deck” of cards. Decks can be customized fully using the 100+ included cards.
The game was launched in Japan few weeks ago on April 5th, but that time Koei gave no clue of its US version.
Through a press release, Koei confirmed a July release for the first DS Dynasty Warriors title.
