Looks like game developers for the PSP have taken a leaf out of Nintendo’s page by coming up with a game that relies more on short bursts of gaming instead of porting over yet another PS2 game. The Hot PXL title from zSlide is a party game that will be launched in time for the holiday season to keep you happy while your friends are out in the cold throwing snowballs at each other.

Hot PXL takes a more mature slant in its micro-games, focusing more on street culture and the digital lifestyle instead of the childlike, fantasy settings in WarioWare on the DS. With over hundreds of inspired scenarios, you will never have a boring moment with Hot PXL. In fact, this could be the title that helps you relive your younger days at the arcade where games back then required a whole bunch of reflexes instead of today’s mindless hack-and-slash formula.

Certain scenarios include blasting through a horde of aliens or performing death-defying stunts on a mammoth half-pipe. As you work through the regular game in Story Mode, you will be able to unlock various options such as alternate versions of the micro-games within.

With over 200 micro-games and 10 Boss stages, Hot PXL won’t be one title that you would put down after a while since you’ve played the same thing a hundred times over in different titles. No siree, Hot PXL could very well be the sleeper hit this Christmas for the PSP.
