Giving new meanings to life simulation genre, Mercury Games has brought a pair of new titles to Nintendo’s best-selling portable platform DS. Titles are Aquarium by DS and Fantasy Aquarium by DS that comprise some sort of fish feeding simulation. Certainly, duo games have been designed keeping in mind non-repetitive phenomenon like every second life simulation genre follows (caretaking of kitten and puppies).

The new project is teamwork of Mercury Games and Japanese publisher Ertain BV that has given new shape to life simulation genre, which allows player to breed fishes in a tank.

As per press release, both the games are poles apart, as ‘Aquarium by DS’ allows player to take care of the fish that can be kept in tanks, whereas ‘Fantasy Aquarium by DS’ allows the player to keep fish which could never be kept as pets in a tank such as Blue whales, dolphins, Seals and sharks.

There are five tanks that can be customized and 30 different species of fishes in each game; more fishes can be unlocked through healthy fish care. If player doesn’t care for them, the fishes start dying and disappearing from the tank.

Of course, the games are E-rated that can be played by people of all age-group. Both the games will see their respective launches this December.
