All About Symbian has a brand new review of Raging Thunder, which pays homage to the great arcade racer of the early 90s - Daytona Racer. This title by Filao will definitely keep owners of mobile devices that run on both Series 60 2nd Edition and UIQ platforms.
The omission of Series 60 3rd Edition could pose a crucial blow to Raging Thunder sales as most devices shipped these days run on that platform.
Marketing flaw aside, Raging Thunder offers a comprehensive driving game that tosses realism out of the window and concentrate on asphalt burning, tire grinding action instead. The controls are tight, and there is more than enough gaming rush to give you the high of beating a checkpoint.
Graphically, Raging Thunder is as good as it gets on the Symbian platform, but pales in comparison to other specific handheld consoles due to a lack of hardware processing power.
You can’t really complain much though, as $15 won’t get you very far these days even in terms of gaming. Raging Thunder is a great title to pick up, but you will feel as empty as the fuel tank when the race is over.
