Looks like the Sony PSP has lost this round of handheld consoles against the demure-looking Nintendo DS. Nevertheless, analysts are predicting that the Japanese electronics giant will hit back in the second round, doing what Apple does best - redesign their console.
Word on the street is there wll be a couple of redesigned PSPs on the market next year, with one retailing below the $200 mark while the other will obviously break that crucial price point. The difference between both is the inclusion of a hard drive inside the cheaper model, while the more expensive version will carry a significant amount of flash memory.
Sounds very much like a rumor at the moment, but will we see the actual thing released next Spring? As with all things in life, there is nothing time and tide cannot solve.
