Apple’s revamp of the 5G iPod has added yet another aspect to the ubiquitous, all-conquering portable media player from Apple. You can now carry your favorite time-killers around if you do not yet own a Nintendo DS Lite or a Sony PSP.
Older gamers who grew up on a diet of classics such as Pac-Man and Tetris will be pleased to see these appear on the iTunes store which now stocks movies and games in addition to its bastion, music.
There are a wide range of other games available for download that are bound to appeal across a wide demographic, including Internet favorites Bejeweled, and Cubis 2. Downloads are priced at $4.99 a pop. Do you guys think the iPod is a viable gaming platform, or is it just a hastily added feature that will appeal to fringe gamers?
