The original Sonic the Hedgehog game on the Sega Genesis will be re-released on the GBA platform later this month to celebrate the iconic video game character’s 10th anniversary in the business. Despite not having a “home” console to run about in, Sonic’s endearing quality still shows with him making an appearance on the new PlayStation 3 as well.
This port of the Sega Genesis game features visually striking details that are true to the original platform game, but the GBA’s small screen size makes it hard to see all the environmental hazards around the world’s most famous hedgehog.
There is no word on a release date yet as at press time despite a high level of anticipation from the game industry and gamers alike.
