They say that third time’s the charm, and Nokia would probably bank on that adage being true after the colossal failure of its NGage and NGage QD gaming phones that were nothing but a novelty. Their next generation cellphones will be powerful enough to compete with the likes of the Sony PSP and Nintendo DS, and their commitment has been underlined with the presence of established publishers and developers who have already signed up with Nokia to develop content for the current N-Series phones and S60 software. If that is Warcraft III I see in the concept photo, then consider me sold. Who cares if I’ve got constipation? That means I have more time to squeeze in for gaming the next time I attempt to take a dump. Source: Esato

Final Fantasy Tactics on PSP feature new cutscenes, jobs
Looks like the upcoming Final Fantasy Tactics for the PSP platform will come with new cutscenes in addition to job classes. In addition, there will be ad-hoc multiplayer to make the game all the more interesting. This is good as you could always borrow one of your friend’s Calculators when it comes to decimating an entire map of enemies. It is also interesting to note that Square Enix is currently working on RPGs for both the Nintendo DS Lite in addition to the PSP platform – and with word of a Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced 2 coming out on the DS Lite, which would you, our dear reader, choose? A slightly revamped version of the PSOne game, or a totally brand new game that was developed from ground up while retaining the great qualities of its PSOne predecessor? Source: PSP Fanboy
EA bringing Simpsons to PSP?
What comes up in your mind after going through the layout at gamestop.com has on its webpage? What I could figure out is the game developer EA working on the Simpsons game for Sony’s portable platform; PSP! The game developer has grabbed the Simpsons license deed to make another videogame title after dozens already in the market. If I am not wrong, the very first game developer to bring Simpsons to the gaming world was Nintendo who acquired the license to bring the eminent TV series to the Arcade arena. But as the site qj.net claims that the game will be quite different from the prior PSOne and Arcade versions. Only that much is available about new Simpsons Game. Other details like launch date, player modes, ESRB rating, a PSP exclusive title or not etc are unidentified until now; hope would surface sooner than later, stay tuned”! Via: qj.net

DS fans…Rejoice! DS getting Myst this November
Approximately a decade old game from 1993, first person graphic adventure genre Myst that was originally released on PC platform with few others (last year released on Sony’s PSP) was rumored for Nintendo’s portable platform, DS. Thanks to Midway, because it has confirmed that the NDS version of the game is undeniably coming. It’s Midway’s generosity that it has brought the old franchise to the DS handheld and it’s completely a rework doe of the game that takes full advantage of hardware so as to keep the venture full of life. Myst is an adventure game that moves forward while solving puzzles amidst highly interactive environments. With a reconstruction work, the game receives an update that brings a new age called ‘Rime Age’, which is exclusive to DS handheld with some multiple save slots included. The news is fairly a great news for all the traditional adventure lovers. The game will find a pretty good use of portable platform’s touch sensitive feature to help unlock the various levels included in the game. The game will be released over the handheld platform this November, in Europe. Via: dsfanboy

Pump It Up to appear in Korea
In a pretty weird manner, the PSP is one of the better platforms available for the music game genre, which was definitely not what Sony had evisioned when they first released this handheld. Pump It Up is pretty much in the same vein as Dance Dance Revolution, and proved to be quite the popular title in Korea. A PSP version should be making its way to Korea soon after appearing on Sony PSP’s official Korean site. Pump It Up uses diagonals and a center button during gameplay, which leads us to question – “How will such a control scheme be mapped on the PSP?” We’ll leave that for you to ponder upon. New demos available for PSP
One great thing about the PSP platform over the Nintendo DS is the ability to download and play demos, very much in the same vein as PC gaming. If you like the game, you can proceed to the checkout counter and pay for it. Dislike it, you’ll save yourself a cool $50 in the process to spend on another day. Despite Loco Roco having plenty of demos swimming around in cyberspace, the good folks at PlayStation forums noticed that YourPSP will be lifting the curtains on a Christmas-themed demo of Loco Roco to keep the Halloween demo company. Another demo that is bound to drive the gaming industry wild would be the PSP-only Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII title. A playable demo ought to be released by the end of the year according to insider sources. Looks like PSP owners will have a great time feasting on these sneak previews during the upcoming holiday season! Source: PSP Fanboy
